Blinds & Roman Shades · Service Two

Light on Your Terms, Throughout the Day

The right blind or roman shade gives you a genuinely different quality of light — one you decide, not one you settle for.

What This Service Offers

Privacy and daylight, considered together

Most rooms need to do different things at different times of day. A home office wants strong, diffused morning light but relief from afternoon glare. A bedroom needs full darkness for sleep and softness when you wake. A living room might want to feel open in the daytime and private in the evening.

Blinds and roman shades handle these needs in a way that curtains sometimes cannot — precisely because they give you more control over where light enters and how much. This service helps you find the right type for each room, then fits it properly.

Something You May Recognise

When light becomes something you work around

Screen glare you cannot escape

Afternoon sun hitting a monitor or television at the wrong angle is a daily nuisance. The right blind, positioned correctly, removes it without darkening the entire room.

Early light through thin fabric

A bedroom that never gets fully dark makes restful sleep harder than it needs to be. There are elegant options that look quiet during the day and perform properly at night.

Privacy without losing the view

Ground-floor rooms or homes with close neighbours can feel exposed. A well-chosen blind can let you look out while making it difficult for others to look in.

Our Approach

A light assessment before any recommendation

Before we suggest anything, we spend time understanding how light behaves in each room across the day. We look at which windows face which direction, how strong and direct the light is at different times, and what you are trying to achieve — whether that is softer mornings, a darker bedroom, a less exposed ground floor, or something else entirely.

From that starting point, we explain the options that would actually suit your situation. Roller blinds, roman shades, venetian blinds, honeycomb blinds — each type behaves differently, and we explain those differences in plain terms without expecting you to already know what you want.

Once you have chosen, we handle the measuring and installation. The fitting is tidy and the mechanisms are checked before we leave.

Light assessment at home

We observe your actual light conditions and room use before suggesting anything.

Mechanism options explained clearly

Cord, chain, spring, or motorised — we explain the practical differences without jargon so the choice feels natural.

Fabric and opacity selection

From sheer to blackout, we bring samples so you can see the effect before committing.

Precise fitting

Blinds that do not fit the recess properly look and function poorly. We measure carefully and install to a clean finish.

Mechanism check on completion

We test every blind before we leave and show you how it operates, including any child-safety features.

What It Feels Like

A considered process from first visit to finished room

1

You reach out

Tell us which rooms you have in mind. We arrange a convenient time to visit, usually within the week.

2

We assess and advise

We look at your light, bring samples, and explain which options would work well for each window. Nothing is decided under pressure.

3

We prepare your order

Once you confirm, we measure precisely and place the order. Most projects are ready within one to two weeks.

4

We fit and finish

We return to install everything, test the mechanisms, and leave the space looking settled — not like a job site.

Investment

A clear figure before any work begins

This service starts at ¥32,000 and covers everything from the first assessment through to the final installation check. The final figure depends on the number of windows, the type of blind or shade chosen, and any specific mechanism requirements.

How We Think About Results

What a well-fitted blind actually does for a room

The practical difference

A blind that fits its recess cleanly looks considered rather than functional. The gap at the edges — common with off-the-shelf products — is gone. Light is managed from the edge of the frame rather than an inch or two inside it, which makes a noticeable difference to how well it performs.

Roman shades, in particular, are worth seeing in person. Folded neatly at the top of the window when raised, they add a quality of textile softness that a standard roller blind does not. For living rooms and bedrooms especially, the effect on the room's character is considerable.

What we look at for each room

Direction and intensity — south-facing windows need more management than north-facing ones, and the type of blind should reflect that

Recess depth — whether the blind fits inside or outside the window frame affects both the look and the degree of light control

How often it will be operated — a blind drawn twice a day needs a more reliable mechanism than one used occasionally

The existing room palette — fabric and colour should sit comfortably with what is already there, not compete with it

Our Commitment

A process that feels comfortable from start to finish

We would rather you take two visits to decide than commit too quickly. If something needs adjusting after installation, we would like to know and we will return to address it.

No decision on the day

The first visit is for looking and listening. We leave samples and a written summary of what we discussed, so you can decide in your own time.

Written quote before production

We confirm the full cost in writing before anything is ordered. There are no surprises on installation day.

Reachable after installation

If a mechanism feels stiff or a fit is not quite right after a few weeks of use, get in touch and we will come back to look at it.

Getting Started

What to expect when you get in touch

There is very little to prepare on your side. Here is how the process unfolds:

1

Send a short message

Tell us roughly which rooms you have in mind and a little about what you are hoping for. That is enough to start.

2

We arrange a visit

We reply quickly with a few time options and confirm a visit that works for you. We come to you, wherever in Nagoya you are based.

3

We look, listen, and suggest

The visit is for understanding your situation first. We will not push a recommendation before we have spent a little time in the room.

4

You decide when you are ready

Once you confirm, we order, produce, and install. The whole process typically takes one to two weeks from your decision.
